Screen Goes Black When Playing Games Ps3
Feb 08, 2012 While playing PS3 my TV screen goes black, then back to normal. Was playing a game, my screen flashed black. Playing FF13-2 for about 45 minutes, the ps3. My PS3 boots fine, video and audio are excellent on XBM but for some reason everytime I want to run a demo or even PS3 Home the screen goes black and that's it, is like it freezes up and dont run anything unless I hard reset it. Click the 'File Restore' option 3. If it says 'the PS3 hard drive is corrupted and needs to be restored', you will most likely need a new hard drive. However, the system will try to restore your current hard drive, but I dont think it really ever works. If it does, you got lucky. I REALLY dont suggest doing option 5, because it will delete all your files. You might not even have a corrupted hard drive, anyways. When you go to buy the new hard drive, get a SATA - 2.5'- 5400 rpm hard drive. Edx Loader.rar. Preferably made by Seagate, because they manufacture the PS3 hard drives. You can get any amount of space, like 320 GB or even 500 GB. I bought mine at Best Buy. There are several videos on YouTube showing how to install the hard drive, and the PS3 manual also tells you how to do it.

Preston15, I would try to start the PS3 in safe mode and see if you can restore, if you can even get to it. But give it a try and let us know. Step 1: Turn off the PLAYSTATION 3 by holding the Power button on the front of the unit till the Power light is red. Touch and hold the Power button, you will hear the first beep, meaning the PLAYSTATION 3 is powering on. Continue to hold the Power button and after about 5 seconds, you will hear a second beep, indicating the video reset. Continue to hold the Power button and after about another 5 seconds you will hear a third beep and the system will power off (Power light is red). Touch and hold the Power button, you will hear the first beep, again for the PLAYSTATION 3 to power on.
