You bought SSD4 didn't you? (Clue: SSD$ $=4 UNSHIFTED) First off I think on Xmas eve and the first day after the software was released, you are asking a lot to expect instant response from the developer.

I bought SSD4 yesterday and I had absolutely ZERO problems understanding the quickstart and in fact the install is so easy you could do most of it without the Q/S. First step is to quit moaning about it on here and go back to the emails you got.

Do EXACTLY what they say and you should find that the SSD4 button on the download site leads you to several files. A Mac installer, a PC installer, six library.rar files a quickstart file in pdf form. THAT is all you need. Just read the instructions and your emails properly and do as it says. The only possible issues here are if your licence file is one of those that briefly had problems. You should have had emails regarding that too, or if you get the same problem I have, which is ONE corrupted file in the first library.rar file, this still doesn't prevent the plugin from operating.

My profuse apologies if you are NOT talking about SSD4, but if you ARE stuck on 3.5 that is altogether a different matter and could well be Kontakt related. A thought: since you are buying this for your son, maybe leave installing it to him? He may well know more about DAW software than you appear to. Again,this is advice offered sincerely, not a flame or insult. Sometimes you have to know when NOT to do stuff, too. Your story regarding SSD is a very familiar one.
