Jun 29, 2006 - making it quiet difficult to find your way around as there are no or very few reference. Is there a way to connect a GPS to Civil 3D so that as you drive along a route you can see where you are on plan, (line tracking)? If so how do I go about it? Your help is much appreciated. From another forum I got a link to a downloadable program that allows you to download images from Google earth as calibrated OziEplorer maps. It took a bit of trial and error but I managed to get it working.

I don't know how reliable the program is in regards to use the google facility but I found it to be of good value. This is the message I reacted upon: ---------- There is a free program that will take Google maps (and satellite images) and prepare them for use with Ozi.

It is particularly useful for getting very detailed street maps of the US, Canada, and, maybe, parts of Mexico. The program automatically stitches map segments together as needed and it prepares the necessary.map file. So far, the maps I have used have been dead accurate for calibration. The program is a stand-alone that does not require installation. It includes a ReadMe file in English. The program intially starts in Russian, but you can switch to English by clicking on the 'gear' symbol, then selecting 'language' in the menu. ------- Edit: I used this program to get more detailed maps here in the Netherlands to find some Earth-caches. It delivered great 'maps'.

Those images are a commercial product that you can buy from DigiGlobe. I often distribute maps and have to watch copyright issues. - Two SnakesI think that, as long as you use it for your own purposes and keep it strictly private, there won't be much of an issue - if any at all.

And be aware that if you download immense amounts of data (many/large maps) Google might ban you from their server temporarely. I just see it as a nice tool to use in conjunction with your existing maps to have more detail for certain area's. Just want to thank you for pointing to GoogleMV2. It seems that Google doesn't like someone downloading their images. After some time they block me and I can't download anything any more. My solution is to reset modem. Reconnecting gives me new IP address and I can go forward. Don't be too greedy as detailed images need a lot of space and download time.

13x gives you quality similar to NASA satellite images. 14x is the best I can get in some parts of WA. Backup Launcher For Wii 4.2u. 15x is my favourite: reasonable details, but not so big. 16x is very detailed and I wouldn't go any further.
